Academy proposal for Dartmouth
-Devon County Council
|
8/2/2010 to 6/4/2010 |
Current
|
Following on from the successful federation of Dartmouth Community College and Dartmouth Primary School and Nursery, Devon County Council are currently considering the possibility of closing Dartmouth College (for children aged 11-16) and Dartmouth Primary School & Nursery (for children aged 3-11) and re-opening them as an All-Through Academy from 1 September 2010.
It is proposed that the academy will provide places for pupils aged 3-16. The number of places to be provided at the academy will be consulted on as part of the academy proposals, but as a minimum we will make sure that there is enough space for all the pupils currently on roll at the existing schools.
We would also envisage up to 100 post-16 places for pupils aged 16-18 will be available on site, delivered through franchised post-16 courses in partnership with South Devon College.
